Is this the same nation I and countless others served in honorable military service?

Never could get Mondays… Meh… such as it is.
Let’s just get it out of the way early… I’ll never brag about it, but this is just to inform some visitors that I am no traitor, and am fiercely proud of my military service.

- Term of service: Oct 1974 – August 1982
OK… now that that’s out of the way, let’s begin.
We have a so-called President who has banned entry from certain countries who have meant us no harm, overtly, yet those countries in which the Orange Julius Caesar has business interest are strangely missing from that list.
Saudi Arabia is the Wahhabi-ruled nation from which the 9/11 hijackers came… nope… they’re not on the list.
Dubai, where, in addition, I believe, to Trump having business, is the home of Erik Prince, founder of Blackwater/Xi/whateverthehell they’re called now… nope not there either.
It’s not even Muslims that are banned, but Christian and Jewish families from countries on that list have been broken up and sent back to the fire from the frying pan.
US Citizens and green-card holders who went home to visit family are blocked.
So, in this admittedly short rant for today (for me, that is. Monday… sue me… <chuckle>) I ask, especially of those who served honorably in uniform, is this the sort of nation for which we willingly put our lives on the line, whether having been regularly shot at, or, like me, were prepared to be turned into glowing dust, or trained to turn Col. Vladimir Putin, KGB’s people into glowing smoking rubble?
And, yet, there are those that prance around in their US Flag clothing, say “Happy Days are Here Again,” and, if served, obviously either forgot or never learned all the implications of the oath they and I took.
This alte cocker, out of uniform since summer of ’82, still considers himself bound by that oath, and bound by the strictures of my duty and security clearance.
Abject disgust is about the most printable thing I can muster on this blog.

The locking down of our borders, not even allowing people to enter who have green cards, and either arresting the press, or at least trying to squelch them…. this is the beginning of a Fascist State, Our Democratic Republic is being systematically altered by “executive orders” that cut to the very core of what we stand for. The “Orange Julius Caesar” has surrounded himself with “advisors” that will let him know what he can do without having to go through Congress to get it done. When and how are we going to stop him? Petitions, peaceful marches, protests… they are all well and good, but ignored by those who need to heed them. Don’t have an email subscription set up yet, as I’m still trying to figure out all the fiddly bits on WordPress. Going to try to figure it out, and maybe with their 2.99/month “Personal” thing, there will be a way. To be honest, I really don’t know, Veronique… Since I rarely use Twitter, and even that being just sharing something to my account, but never engaging, I’d offer that you Google or Bing it, or go to http://www.dmoz.org, go to the Computers section, and somewhere there may be an offering of what you need.
But thanks for visiting, ma’am… I’m humbled and gratified that there seem to be some that I’ve never met, and don’t know, yet who find my modest ramblings useful.
Trying to make this a daily thing… tends to take me until late morning to gather material, but I’m finding that doing this blog is quite enjoyable, even in the midst of some pretty dark and angry times…
